The Marriage of Justice and Mindfulness
As we move into a new era of consciousness, one that has been in preparatory state for a little while now, we move into a change in attitudes, tolerance and understanding.
And as this new era approaches, faster and faster, we cannot help but be pulled by our heart-strings as the world gains new eyes into global suffering. Not only are we talking about poverty and hunger which plagues our planet, world-wide people and organisations are addressing those issues within society affecting individuals and families as it recognizes the impact of prejudice and disadvantage now and from the past.
Countless bodies and communities wage the long-term cost to children, families, the planet and future generations, making good the wrongs of history and resetting the pendulum as conscience takes its place of priority for the evolution and continuation of humankind and the planet.
Compassion, at the highest rank of order in the hierarchy of human capacity, is the one thing, that solitary emotion that invokes feelings which impregnate the minds and touches souls around the world. It is the only thing that deters fear and draws closer one human to another. It is the one thing that enables the individual to release themselves from their own shackles.
When the feelings of compassion for ourselves and our fellow-man surpass a mind that searches to justify, condemn and defend, then there is truth and opportunity to heal, reform and renew. It bears witness to a time of a lesser ego, greater purity, light and love.
When one can overlook barriers of non-conformance and peer instead into the deeper nurturing of the heart, to see those that are missing or wounded, only then are we able to truly sit with another in their space of pain. And only then can we be trusted to help another in sincerity with the right intention.
The legal and justice system has heralded wrath on itself and on the people over the course of two millennia. Its reputation hardened and scorched over the course of its growth. Now seemingly it is starting to turn green under the fertilization of diversified people rising with heart mind awareness laden with the principles of their field, fashioned to a cause. One of great magnitude and blazing repercussion.
In our current era terms such as Light workers and Warriors are names given to these people, some say, contracted in earlier times. They are Souls of a master number with a life path to bring angelic beauty to the physical realm and to make a difference in systems of the earthly sphere. That is to co create an alternate way of life. Their knowledge necessary, wisdom essential and their heart/mind combination critical to effect change where it is most needed to make the greatest impact.
These people, our kindred spirits, are those that have journeyed the road of experience, who feel the pain and suffering they see in their fellow man. They have ascended and aspire to ascend further and strive to create and be part of a peaceful and loving world.
We must remain mindful that trials and difficulties in another person’s life may make them irritable, curt, angry or even act out against the law.
The Centre for Mindfulness and Justice organisation is a wonderful example of the physical manifestation of what we’ve known has been coming and been long overdue.
It is the synergism of two professionals, one experienced in criminal justice, the other business and both long time mindfulness and meditation practitioners.
At the Centre for Mindfulness and Justice we see the benefits of utilizing academic and practical experience in the earthly realm – left brain (logic) in combination with connection to another consciousness or higher source, one initiated through right brain (creativity), stilled to meet the vibration of the heart, the greatest emotion of love.
A place where there is no fear, no ego, no greed only acceptance of an arrow for truth that boomerangs back to love to compound and seed. Then we see fruits of labour, good fruit that bears more fruit to sustain and even more to germinate new growth.
There’s a great story “Zen and the Art of Law Enforcement” published in The Christian Science Monitor.
In short,, Mindfulness is the practice of being in the moment, this moment, none other than this moment and then the next, without judgement but in awareness.
Like breathing in and then breathing out, awareness of thoughts and actions in each moment.
Awareness of now, not tomorrow or even the next hour.
A recognised practice for combating anxiety and stress.
